ELEAGUE S2 European teams

The European teams for the second season of ELEAGUE have been found after FaZe, dignitas, G2 and ALTERNATE aTTaX prevailed in the closed qualifier.

The European closed qualifier – officially called the “European preliminary round”, had 16 teams – five of which were invited and 11 which got their spot through one of three open qualifier cups.
The majority of the invited teams proved that they deserved the spot in the qualifier, but GODSENT – the team that currently has three of the players that made the ELEAGUE finals last season – failed to qualify in the end.

dignitas took down Tengri 2-1 after surprisingly losing the first map to the team from Kazahstan, and then sealed the deal with a 2-0 win over Gambit to grab their spot in ELEAGUE.

Benrlitom’s G2 dealt with walkover with ease, but had to go through three overtimes versus Kinguin before closing the series out 2-0 to grab their top four spot.

Shox’s G2 qualified after a hard fought victory over Kinguin

Another unexpected map loss happened in the FaZe – CHAOS match, where the underdogs from Lithuania managed a swift 16-6 win over FaZe, only to lose the following maps 6-16 and 3-16. Jalli’s new team then dealt with HellRaisers: 2-0 on Nuke and Train to seal their qualification.

The last team to secure their spot in ELEAGUE Season 2 was the biggest surprise – ALTERNATE aTTaX. First they took down FlipSid3 with ease and then managed a huge upset versus GODSENT to qualify for one of the biggest competitions this year.

With these results, the list of teams for the second season of ELEAGUE looks like this:
