For the first time ever the World’s largest digital festival DreamHack is coming to North America. Participate in the LAN party and enjoy World’s class esports live at DreamHack Austin.

DreamHack Austin will feature all the core content pillars that make DreamHack what it is for visitors to enjoy, the LAN party, DreamExpo, International Esports tournaments, BYOC competitions, Cosplay, Indie Game Zone, and DreamStore. As always with DreamHack attendees will be able to shape the future of DreamHack Austin, focusing on the content as well as games and genres which the visitors are most interested in, whether its PC FPS, MOBA, RTS, Fighting Games, or Console Games, and even other gaming related activities like table top gaming and more.

DreamHack has announced the complete set of teams for the upcoming ZOWIE Open event in Austin, Texas.

From May 6-8, Austin’s Convention Center will host the first DreamHack stop in North America, where eight teams will duke it out for their share of a $100,000 prize pool. Initially, DreamHack had allocated some spots for European teams, but due to a busy event schedule these sides ended up declining their invitations. As a result, DreamHack decided to invite three more North American sides – Tempo Storm, Splyce and NRG -, who will join the previously invited trio of CLG, Liquid and Luminosity and the two qualified teams, Cloud9 and Selfless. This means that the following eight teams will compete at DreamHack ZOWIE Open Austin, next week:

CLG Liquid
Luminosity Cloud9
Selfless Tempo Storm
Splyce NRG

The tournament will kick off with a double-elimination group stage, featuring best-of-one and best-of-three clashes. The top two sides from each group will advance to the single-elimination, best-of-three playoffs.
