$500k EPICENTER qualifiers tomorrow

Open qualifiers for EPICENTER: Moscow, a new event organized by Epic Esports Events which will have $500,000 on offer in Moscow in October, are set to be played out on Saturday, August 27th.

The exact details for EPICENTER: Moscow, an offline $500,000 event hosted by Moscow in October, have not yet been revealed, such as the exact dates, invited teams and venue.

A total of eight teams will participate, six of which will receive invites while the other two will come from a set of qualifiers in Europe and CIS. The qualifiers will kick off already on Saturday, August 27th, with the open stage in both regions.

Ex6TenZ’s new LDLC have registered for the European open qualifier

The CIS qualifier will be restricted to players from within the CIS region and vice-versa, which means teams who have a roster consisting of both European and CIS players will have to use stand-ins, if they wish to participate. This rule only applies for the open stage and is in place due to FACEIT’s platform restrictions.

The following countries belong to the CIS region set by the organizers, Epic Esports Events:

Russia
Moldova
Armenia
Azerbaijan
Ukraine
Kazakhstan
Kyrgyzstan
Tajikistan
Uzbekistan
Belarus
Turkmenistan

Only the winners of the best-of-one, single-elimination open qualifiers will secure a spot in the next stage, the closed qualifiers, where they’ll join seven invited sides in a best-of-three GSL group stage, followed by best-of-three playoffs. The winner of each closed qualifier will secure a spot at the $500,000 tournament.

Teams wishing to participate in the open qualifiers hosted by FACEIT can sign up by Saturday at 18:00 on the respective pages linked below:
