fer from SK(ex LG) sidelined due to surgery

The Brazilian player revealed via Twitter that he will not be able to play competitive CS for two months because he will undergo two surgeries.

The two-time CS:GO Major champion announced today that because of breathing problems caused by his broken nose, he has been struggling both in-game and in his regular life.

After going through the nose surgery, Fernando “fer” Alvarengawill also undergo an ear surgery to prevent a potential tumor risk. Following the surgical nose procedure which will take place in two weeks, Alvarenga will need medical monitoring for around a month.

SK will be playing the online portions of ECS and ESL Pro League with Gustavo “SHOOWTiME” Gonçalves until the middle of September when Alvarenga intends to make a return to prepare for ESL One New York and will have two weeks to train.

“My intention, is to be back 2 weeks before ESL One New York, and for during these 2 weeks we’ll make an intensive preparation with the same goal: WIN!” fer wrote in his statement.

“I am just thankful to those who cheer for me and my team, and I ask you to keep your positive vibration. I also would like to thank “Shoowtime” for accepting right away the invitation to represent the best team in the world.”

Therefore, the SK lineup will look as follows until the middle of September:
